When summer kicks in, this is the drink to go with! Not only does it cool you down but also brings with it a dose full of health, happiness and allergy resistance.
Ingredients
- 6-8 cups water
- 3 green tea sachets
- 20-30 mint leaves
- ¼ cup ginger slices
- 1 lemon
- 1/3 cup honey
Directions
Combine water and ginger in a saucepan and boil. Bring down to a simmer and add the tea bags, mint leaves and turn off the heat in about 2 minutes. Let this steep in the water for around 10 minutes. Now strain the tea and add in the honey and juice from half a lemon. Pour this into a jug and keep aside till it comes down to room temperature. Once it cools down, transfer this to a refrigerator and let it chill for about half an hour at least. While serving, pour into a tall glass filled with ice cubes and garnish with a sprig of mint leaves and 2 to 3 slices of the remaining lemon.
