Ingredients

  • 6-8 cups water
  • 3 green tea sachets
  • 20-30 mint leaves
  • ¼ cup ginger slices
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/3 cup honey

Directions

Combine water and ginger in a saucepan and boil. Bring down to a simmer and add the tea bags, mint leaves and turn off the heat in about 2 minutes. Let this steep in the water for around 10 minutes. Now strain the tea and add in the honey and juice from half a lemon. Pour this into a jug and keep aside till it comes down to room temperature. Once it cools down, transfer this to a refrigerator and let it chill for about half an hour at least. While serving, pour into a tall glass filled with ice cubes and garnish with a sprig of mint leaves and 2 to 3 slices of the remaining lemon.
